Hey forum! I'm wondering if any of you have played the new free to play survival game unturned? I have been playing it, and I love it! If you do too maybe someone could start a linustechtips hamachi server?

Awesome, I'm not that into it but I really think it would be a lot better with others..

I tried it alone, quitted instantly because it was so hard. Always open to play it with someone, steamid is tsuqt

Right now I have a hamachi server and don't really feel like paying to have more than 5 people in a server, I'm going to try port forwarding, and see how it goes, I will report back with news! (also I encourage you all to try to make a server too)

@DIV1D3 @ANUPLUCIFERGAMER I assume you guys know how to make a server then? Me and my friend spent 2 hours trying to get to work yesterday, looked up different guides and everything. Could you possibly help?

 

We set up hamachi, made a new network. Both connected to it. Then through the game, pressed "connect" and tried 1. the IP of the hamachi server and 2. typing in localhost instead of the IP and all without a password. Are we doing something wrong?

You just need to create a Hamachi network with a name, IP and port, then anyone who joins that Hamachi network can join the server in Unturned. I actually don't know how online Unturned works but I'm going off what I know about Terraria and Hamachi.

Anyone experiencing performance issues in the game?  Been a few days since I went on, maybe an update since, but with 2x 7950s I was only getting around 20fps in game.

nope. 7870 and I run at 110-130 on mostly medium settings (without AA and blur stuff)

Yeh same, I've got a 280X yet at max settings it has noticeably low fps.

Put your PC in DMZ if you can. You don't really need Hamachi to play with friends, you only need to open the port.

I have my PC in DMZ and the port 25444 in port forwarding. With that I only give my public IP to my friends and done.

EDIT: I got the hang of it. It's pretty easy.
