Would this be a decent PC for Gaming, Video/Photo editing and other general uses?

Matt Wakey

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/QmckWZ I can't really go any higher than that price, my budget was supposed to be £500 anyway..

So I want this pc to just be able to do some gaming and video/photo editing really. I think it's okay, but then again I'm not a pc expert..

Let me know what you think

Ok it looks good the thing I would change out is that Z87 motherboard you can't overclock that CPU get a H87 board or H97 and the new Pentium anniversary.

A Z87 board and an i3 is an awful idea the RAM also doesn't need to be that fast

What's wrong with the i3?

There's nothing wrong with i3, it's just that new pentium can be overclocked a lot

I'd rather have an i3 to be honest

But you don't get much for from that i3 since the price it twice the pentium. And overclocking will give you better performance in gaming. But if you don't want to overclock at all then get i3. Also with that z97 board it opens you space to upgrade later on. Annnd you can spend that extra money on better gpu with buying pentium a.k.a you get more bang for the buck

I'm no expert, but build with new pentium seem good. If you can stretch you money buy r9 270 or r9 270x imho instead of that 260x
