Gaming on a tablet/ultra book crossover? (Acer aspire R7)

The Acer aspire R7 has been getting its fair share of slack on the internet mainly due to its backwards design keyboard track pad layout. But ive been struggling to find a detailed review of the more impressively spec'd Aspire R7-571G-73538G25ass which has a Intel Core i7 3rd Gen. 3537U (2 GHz) CPU in it with a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M. This model is obviously geared towards a consumer that will be using the laptop for more then just a casual media consumption device, But i really have no idea what sort of performance to expect out of this machine? The idea of having a external gaming mouse running out of this thing while tilting slightly floating over the keyboard in the coined "starship enterprise" mode seems like it might make for a very interesting gaming experience. Ive found this laptop for around £740 second hand online which makes it the cheapest laptop i can find that has a gt 750 or equivalent of graphics card in it although im not very well read on the CPU in mention. Am i being deceived here by the gimmick of the tiltily screen function? and is the low clocked CPU going to bottle neck my GPU to the point where i cant enjoy modern game titles or medium to high settings?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

For anyone not in the know here's what the R7 looks like:

I don't know... to me I say, get a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 or 3, you have the power to run games (especially the Pro 2 due to it's dual cooling fans, while the Pro 3 opted for extra thinnest and larger battery, and only has 1 fans, which doesn't allow extended Turbo Boost clock speed, but rather just peeks here and there), it is a tablet, and you have a pen so you do proper note taking with typing and using the pen to draw diagram, do math, physics, graphs, all things you just can't do on a laptop, or any other normal 'media consumption' tablets (iPad, and the great majority of Android devices).

For demanding gaming, use your desktop PC. I am telling you, playing actual PC games, if they are not in a board game style (example: Civ 5), or tablet style games, you are not going to get far with a touch screen (which the great majority of PC games don't support), or trackpad. The games were designed for mouse and keyboard.

Wait, you need a stylus for math, physics, and graphs?

First of all, lets clarify something out, i actually own this laptop, mine is the  ACER Aspire R7-572G-54208G75ass ( i5 haswell variant ) . You asked about performance, in my case i was getting 25-35 fps Crysis 3 at medium setting at 1920 x 1080. Regarding the hinge mechanism, it is not a gimmick , i find it a must if you use the touch screen for browsing the net or anything else. I don't mind the track pad position at all, for my it's touch screen first then mouse then n-trig Stylus then track pad.

If you have any further questions I'll do my best to answer them for you.

Bellow it's proof that i actually own it.
