2/10 - Would not buy again.

Crap service most everywhere, calls get garbled, stupidly high fees for things that really don't cost a lot (looking at you texting and data).

Glad I get to drop AT&T this month.

Verizon rocks but unfortunately like most cell carriers its very expensive to have a smartphone and use mobile data.

It's almost as if they're a company trying to make money :P

8/10. Good. 150min, 500MB and unlimited text for $39/month. Would rather have a 75min, 1GB and unlimited tho.

For me, I rate mine 5.5/10, their deals are pretty good, but they have overcharged me twice, last one did once, so now, to totally avoid paying expensive bills, using pre-paid, just finished my contract, will most likely stay with the Carrier though, since the last one I have not tried, is very un-reliable and charge way more for phones then the other 2 in my country

Sprint: Crap/10

Somehow there's terrible coverage here in MA, can't find 4G anywhere but in Boston.

Git Gud.

7/10 - 3UK

I get unlimited data + tethering, 3000 UK minutes and 5000 UK texts as well as unlimited roaming in quite a few EU countries as well as Aus/America. The European countries help since I find myself abroad a lot (including now!). Unlike other carriers they are the only to give unlimited data and don't charge a premium for 4G. At my old flat I didn't bother getting fixed line internet because I could tether from my phone for free and used on average 120GB per month and they didn't complain at all.

Now the downsides. They were last to launch 4G here so their coverage is worst, and generally outwith the cities their coverage is crap, going on the train can be frustrating since I'm often left with bad signal. Their indoor coverage isn't great either since they use the 2100mhz band. This is especially a problem in my city since most buildings are very old and made of solid stone (the price you pay for beautiful architecture and high ceilings is having to accept how cold it is).

Overall, I'd go with them again if I'm in need of the data tethering, if their coverage improves if I need that and if they offer me a good retention deal. If EE's prices drop then maybe that's where I'll go!

9/10 China Unicom

I have a data cap of 300MB a month. I really don't use more mobile data since I have wifi everywhere I use much data. Of course you can pay more to up that. I pay 66 RMB a month, which is around 12 USD. Coverage is perfect everywhere, it is very impressive and much better than anything available in Germany other than T-Mobile. Note that CHN Unicom is a secondary carrier with their own network.

Only complaint is that 3G is somewhat slowish at times...

7/10. I find 3 (being the name of the company) to be pretty good. Customer service is better than many of the other companies I have been with. Though the coverage is a little poor. I would lose connection where other providers wouldn't.

Oh and 3 have been so far cheaper for me.

What do they know of England, who only England know?

8/10. Verizon is pretty good actually, absolute shit internet as fios isn't in my area, but great cell phone service. In most areas I get pretty great service, minus my house, but it is pretty expensive. We get a decent discount through my mom's job so we can afford to split a few gigabytes between the four of us. Also whenever we renew our plan phones are surprisingly cheap, I assume that's because we sign up for two year plans.  For example my cousin and I both have the galaxy nexus and he bought his at Sprint for $150 when a month later I got mine for $50 at verzion. Both signed up for two year plans so it's nice to pay less for the phone.  Never had any other cell phone carrier so I can't comment on that.
