Old PC parts, builds, benchmarks

So yeah this is the thread I promised to make. Basically my dad owns a local pc store and buys junk old systems for parts, but there's always something useless so then I can use it. Here is what I start with. Not all systems have all parts needed to work tho. I'm going to list all parts tomorrow but here's a funny pic

So this one didn't come with any ram, and the mobo can support up to 2GB max, I have 2 sticks with 512MB DDR2, but I've only opened 2~3 of the computers for now.

  • 3 weeks later...

Well, when I got back i started mix-matching the PCs but not even one config worked properly. The furthest I got was installing windows XP and every now and then in an interval of 5-10 mins the PC crashed. and that was the best case scenario. Bit of a letdown
