CANADA! Corsair Raptor M40 Gaming Mouse - $20

what exactly is a mail in rebate?

A MIR entitles the buyer to mail in a coupon, a receipt and barcode in order to receive a cheque for a particular amount.

We also have this in the EU but this is not fairly common, Samsung usually has these things with cashback and free sd cards on phones and what no.

With my s3 I had to send in my barcode and receipt and I got 50€ off of my purchase,

yeah we have cashback but basically you pay for it and then get it back, it's basically a method of putting more VAT on it and it's just bollocks. also how is the lenovo Y500? thinking of getting the Y510P but the Y500 is a little cheaper

I'm glad we don't really have that mail in rebate stuff in the UK. It seems like a lot of effort just to get some money off.

Well you don't have to, I sometimes don't do MIRs if they're something like $5 off $40.... the stamp alone is usually $1.50 to the US with all the forms and receipt, plus envelope, bus money to the post office... but corsair and gigabyte (maybe others) have really great online submission, so it's not really mail-in, but the rebate still comes in the mail.

I always guarantee that no more than 50% of what I say is useful.
