Steam in home streaming question

Stigs

I have steam open on my Gaming rig on my wireless network and steam open on a PC in my basement on my wired network. both are running through the same router, yet I can't stream my games.  Is it because one is wired and one is wireless? Please help.

You need to be signed into steam on both PC's and both need to be set to "opt in" for the steam beta client and then updated. Then it should work.

But just let me warn you, in-home streaming over wifi can be laggy. it's best to have both PC's wired.

Sign in to Steam on Each of the PCs

Check the Network IP Assignment (Your problem might be network IP Assigments)

Please try to use Wired Ethernet because Wifi can be laggy on some games (ex: Trine 2 was lagging on my TP Link Archer C7 Wireless AC network when i try to game on my laptop with Steam In-Home Streaming)

Okay. I'll keep that in mind.  I might be moving my PC to another room in my house, so putting an Ethernet cable to it may not be a big deal.
