thats because you probably havent actually felt what having NO mouse acceleration feels like.. the difference is huge

Accepting shit because of ignorance in face of knowledge isnt something to be proud off.

ahhhh I love the smell of hardware snobbery in the evening

:Edit: this is a quick worthwhile read regarding the sensor > http://forums.evga.com/Avago-9800-why-m2091787.aspx

Also just FYI, I personally do not notice any mouse acceleration. So if there is any, I can't tell.

just because you cant dont mean its not there, and it doesnt mean that there is any reason for the worse laser sensors to exists with optical being better in every way with nothing being worse

There's no real difference, it's personal preference and @Rorgash is just aggresively trying to make people change their minds ( and why? no one knows ).

thats just retarded.. the difference between mouse acceleration and prediction compared to none is the difference between you dying in a fps game to you killing in it..  helps a LOT in any situation where you move the mouse to get somewhere aswell.. and anyone who says otherwise is just ignorant or has NO reflexes worth a damn.

also, like we are supposed to here in a lot of topics we recommend against bad buys, we recommend people not to buy 1500W PSu because its useless, we recommend against buying PCI sound cards, Why? because they are inferior to an equally priced/good quality) external amp/dac combo, is there a difference? yes, but would most people know? no, and so we try to educate them on which is best..

If I can't tell it's there then it doesn't matter lol. It's only an issue if it negatively effects gameplay.

Also I would hardly consider this a "bad buy." There may be superior mice out there sure but your claims are rather exaggerated and a regurgitation of information posted elsewhere

buying a directly and fully worse item over a better one at the same price is stupid and something that should always be avoided, but if someone wants to buy shit fine, go buy shit...

You're right, its personal preference Hes being a fucking idiot, He got Proud Member of the Glorious PC Master Race  in his sig and everything. Hes just trying to stand out like he knows what hes on about.

When I first got my Steelseries Kinzu v2 pro whatever the only difference I noted between that and my old dell mouse was the way it slid & the 3200dpi. Im sure to a pro gamer mouse accel etc matters but ive seen pro gramers use laser and optical.

What does it matter if its optical or not it proves my point more I dont notice any fucking difference in  between my LASER dell mouse and my kinzu in actual pinpoint other than the way it felt & the sensitivty. Buying the Kinzu didnt make my aim instantly better because its got an optical sensor.

sorry buddy, but optical is proven to be better than laser, ur dell mouse was probably optical anyways

Supposedly it has fixed firmware that doesnt have the rounding that caused the acceleration/deceleration.

Also just FYI, I personally do not notice any mouse acceleration. So if there is any, I can't tell.

I havnt either. Also when people spout stuff about acceleration with laser sensors usually they dont even know where it originates from and how it comes into play. Also there are plenty of optical sensors that have acceleration also.

just because you cant dont mean its not there, and it doesnt mean that there is any reason for the worse laser sensors to exists with optical being better in every way with nothing being worse

If yo ucan only find it using non use case testing it doesnt matter if its there or not. Optical does have its faults especially with how it tracks on certain surfaces. No, glass is not the only one its bad at. Actually with glass most times optical doesnt work at all. Also there are plenty of reasons for laser to exist. Two big ones are size and weight.

Isn't Lasermices the Mices to have today?

No IR optical would be the sensor to have today but there is a farily limited number of mice that have it. It is however rapidly growing since there is a very vocal part of the community.

There's no real difference, it's personal preference and @Rorgash is just aggresively trying to make people change their minds ( and why? no one knows ).

Its not ever a preference if done right. For example I play at 1600dpi for gaming. As long as the implementation is done correctly that should feel the same on ever mouse no matter the type of sensor. This is the same with everything on the internet. Look to DAC's and audiophile headphones for another example. On another note I still think a desktop mic is a bad choice for gaming.

thats just retarded.. the difference between mouse acceleration and prediction compared to none is the difference between you dying in a fps game to you killing in it..  helps a LOT in any situation where you move the mouse to get somewhere aswell.. and anyone who says otherwise is just ignorant or has NO reflexes worth a damn.

There is no prediction on at least the last two versions of laser sensors. The sensor itself with not make you a better player. Also the acceleration on the stock 9800 is no where near as bad as you are trying to make it seem.

also, like we are supposed to here in a lot of topics we recommend against bad buys, we recommend people not to buy 1500W PSu because its useless, we recommend against buying PCI sound cards, Why? because they are inferior to an equally priced/good quality) external amp/dac combo, is there a difference? yes, but would most people know? no, and so we try to educate them on which is best..

Your not educating your dictating.

What if the mouse that has the shape and features I want is only available in laser?

Yep if you look at the mice that pro gamers use many have know acceleration. The human mind and body is a amazing thing and does a great job accounting for it after substantial use without you even knowing it. i still get a kick out of this whole BS "Glorious PC Master Race" thing that in reality started as more of a joke than anything.

Too bad kinzu is optical so you sound retarded.

Kinzu is known to have built in acceleration, actually if I recall purposely built in. It is constant at the sensor level not a rounding error/interpolation which is what causes it on the 9500 and 9800.

The laser sensor makes a HUGE difference in games like CS GO. I would buy this mouse if it had an optical sensor.

I really do wonder why they didnt put in one of the newer IR sensors in the X10 but only EVGA would know that. However I seem to play CS GO fine with both the X10 Carbon and my G502. The main thing I had to actually get used to was the shape and then button placement.
