3DS or PS Vita?

NuclearFusion
Go to solution Solved by P e r s e p h o n e,

At this point I'd just get the ones that sell your favorite games that you can't play on your PC. I have a desktop and as such PS Vita games would be on there. So I would get the 3DS.

Hello! Ok, So I can't decide whether to get 3DS or PS Vita, I like the game that would come with both. Pokemon, Mario, and Zelda, for the 3ds, while the PS Vita has games like Need for Speed, Madden, and and Borderlands 2. So I'm having a tough descion deciding, both fit in my pocket, and both are portable. I wouldn't even be using the 3d, as it hurts my eyes. So, does anyone know any reason I should get on over the other?

You gotta do you girl. I always say you gotta do you. And if he's doing him, then who's doing you? Because right now, it seems like no one's doing you.

My Vita has just collected dust, they're some great games my favourite would have to be littlebigplanet and the uncharted game. However It'd be good if you travel a lot. I just never have time to game on it anymore.

Foldability man.

You can still fold it....if you force it :P

Edit: it may or may not work afterwards.

Vita is getting Grim fandango.

Vita is getting Borderlands.

Vita has Littlebigplanet.

Vita has uncharted.

Vita has the walking dead.

Vita has Killzone.

Both have Batman.

3DS has pokemon.

3DS has some other nintendo games.

doesn't nintendo make more child centered games?

3DS is getting more pokemon.

It honestly depends on if you plan on traveling.
Because I don't touch them at home, I  didn't even touch them while in Hawaii.

My vote is for the 3DS, I love mine. My friends love theirs too, but everyone I know that has bought a Vita has either sold it a few months later or just has it collecting dust in their room.

BE WARNED THOUGH. 3DS GAMES ARE FUCKING RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE. MAYBE BUY A FLASHCART AND JUST PIRATE YOUR GAMES.

I'll rather get an emulator on Android and play it on that.

I guess it depends on what genres you like, but objectively the 3DS has and will get more content than the Vita. Sony has basically been laying there on their asses with the Vita, barely put out any original content, mostly just ports of games that are also on PC or PS.

I lean towards 3DS because of the steady stream of exclusive content and the literal mountain of RPGs on it.

PS I'm also in the same boat, the 3D either hurts my eyes or doesn't work for me at all. I still would get a 3DS XL cuz screen size, folding, and since the 3D is on a toggle switch anyway.

In the US you can get refurbished 3DS XL units for dirt cheap, directly from Nintendo. https://store.nintendo.com/ng3/us/po/browse/subcategory.jsp?categoryId=cat160011

EDIT: but if you're a Persona 4 hardcore the Vita might be worth based on Persona 4 Golden alone xD

Git Gud.

Animal Crossing Multiplayer is SUPER fun. I played a 3DS for the first time last week w/ my friends and it was awesome. PS Vita is meh, my friend's fell of his bed and onto a shaggy carpet and it broke, the same friend also dropped his 3DS on a sidewalk and it didn't break. PS Vita is trouble waiting to happen.

I have Borderlands 2 on my Vita and it is unplayable for me, using the touch pad to run and melee is extremely awkward. The joysticks are also too small for me to aim accurately.

One word: Super Smash Bros.

Or however many words that was. Really, just look at whichever one offers better looking games. If I weren't cheap, I'd own both, actually.

I haven't heard much of the Vita, really, but what I have played was amazing. That I know of, Bravely Default is the only 3DS game that has genuinely impressed me since the release of the 3DS. SSB might change that, but we'll see.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

I love the "HD Remakes" of Jak and Daxter and when it releases, Ratchet and Clank. I had a 3DS, sold it because I thought I was too old, now regretting the decision. I have a DSi that I asked for a year later after selling my 3DS, it sucks to realize that 3DS games don't work on the DSi. I might sell some of the DS's that I have lying around my house and see if it's enough for a 3DS, because I really want to play Bravely Default and the most recent Pokemon games.

The only complaints about the Vita that I have are A.) The joysticks are too small B.) The touch pad grips are too small.

Reasons for both.

3ds:

Games (personal preference)

I like the street pass or whatever it is.

The controls in my opinion are nicer but God Nintendo need another anolog stick built in.

Ps vita:

More powefull

Nicer user interface

it has so much potential Sony need to get off there asses

More (adult) based games

Nicer build quality and screen.

My opinion is neither, 3ds seems more of a rip off the unit is reasonable but the games are stupidly expensive same as the vita and I have owned both and sold both, I know it's more expensive but I would consider a android tablet with some nice specs, modern combat, real racing, some good rpg oh and emulators and games are a lot cheaper and in some ways feel more individual rather than clogged up and repetitive but it's just my opinion :)

Vita because it does more and with better graphics.

Project Diva for PSV is secks.
