This is the best thing you can do

It has the HD3450...

I would just salvage the hard drive, and dvd drive, and get rid of the rest or hang it on the wall like @whoever did that i cant remember who it was.

It depends on the condition and who you sell it to, I got my pc for $125

core 2 duo e6850

4gb ram

Nvidia 9800gt

640gb wd black hdd

So I think if the condition is fine maybe $50-$100 probably closer to $50 though.

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

You could maybe reuse the hardrive...maybe. You could just give it to a family member. It isn't worth selling really.

I should be studying.

Or backup PC then. You could also use it in your living room, bedroom, whatever, as a browsing PC or for streaming, downloading. I found that one can always use an old but functional PC.

Thanks for the help.

I would keep it as local storage place or something, just get some bigger HDD. You can archive your music, movies, photos, games right there. That's what I did with my old gaming rig, took out GPU (GTX 660ti), sold it, bought some 2TB HDD and placed it in place. ;)

PC: i5 2500K 4.2 GHz. Cooler Master Seidon 120V VER2. MSI P67A GD55 B3. 8GB Corsair RAM. Corsair TX650W. Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970.

Notebook: ASUS N56JN-CN038H, i7 4700HQ, 8GB RAM, GT 840M 2GB, 750 HDD 5400RPM, 15,6" 1920x1080.

you may be able to get $30-$50 for it, maybe a little more, but I doubt it. I would keep it and put pfsense on it.

I wouldn't pay anything more then $40 for it. You can also keep as a server (like a user suggested) or as a Linux machine. Somethin to play around with..

I should have said besides gaming and internet browsing. I have used mine at least a dozen times in the past 2 weeks, burned a few iso disks to try a few different versions of linux on my ancient thinkpad that refused to boot from a usb stick, and then I made a dvd slide show of pictures for some one that I took. I frequently burn dvds of pictures an videos for friends of mine that have uber slow internet because I would rather buy and burn a dvd that cost mere cents for them than to buy usb sticks that cost 10 bux a piece. I know it isn't essential anymore like it was 5 yrs plus ago, but people do still have use for them, especially if their internet sucks and it would take them days to download a program. I have friends not to far from me that can still only get dial up, dsl isn't even available where they live. 56k is all they got.
