so this is the equivalent of asus tuff series in a way?

CPU: i5 4670k i won the silicon lottery Cooler: Corsair H100i w/ 2x Corsair SP120 quiet editions Mobo: ASUS Z97 SABERTOOTH MARK 1 Ram: Corsair Platnums 16gb (4x4gb) Storage: Samsun 840 evo 256gb and random hard drives GPU: EVGA acx 2.0 gtx 980 PSU: Corsair RM 850w Case: Fractal Arc Midi R2 windowed

Gigabyte has lost their identity awhile ago. Hell, I actually miss their blue pcb motherboards if only for the fact at least you knew it was a Gigabyte board. Even if the trend is black pcb (which does go a lot better and looks more pro), there should have been some Gigabyte flair about it. Everything black with red accents looks like a ROG knock off. As @beebskadoo mentioned, it should have been all black given the moniker.

With BK at the end I initially thought Burger King edition...

But in all seriousness this board (aside from looks) is an awesome, full featured board, and nothing stands out as not up to par with the competition. It's really hard to go wrong when buying a board from Gigabyte, or any top tier vendor for that matter.

If I'm honest, it's getting a little stale, I mean aside from the new PCI-e storage solutions (to which there are no drives out that work with it) and uefi, nothing has changed much since P67/Z68. I guess it's tough reinventing the wheel!

no, its about its more like the formula or the extreme from the rog line than the tuf series boards

Hmm, too expensive. Would love to see a review for the non black edition gaming boards from gigabyte cause those are extremely well priced for their features.

The Tuff series is a combination of all of Asus' main three board channels. This board is similar in that it's a gaming board with

server validation that you would expect to see in say the WS boards. Hope that helped :)
