Would you buy from APPLE....

midrim

....if they were as cheap/cheaper than their PC/Android counterparts?

I know a lot of you hate Apple mostly because of their pricing. Now that Jobs is gone, it seems they started focusing on attracting a bigger market by making stuff like the 5C and the next line of macbooks they dub as cheaper than before. So what if they started selling @ true value - would you buy from them?

I don't like Apple because of the way they conduct themselves, not so much for the products.

Apple makes some of the best MP3 players. So I bought one because there weren't any other choices.

Now there are comparable products on the market and if I had a choice I would not go Apple.

I hate how they make everyone use iTunes.

If the Macbook w/ Retina was cheaper I'd buy it in a heart beat. Other wise I can get a much beefier laptop with less pixels for less.

The only reason i don't have an iMac is because of the price but I would love one. I might even put Win7 on a dual boot so i can game on it and use mac OS X for everything else.

Nahh, I still wouldn't.

Apple's prices have nothing to do with the product itself, for me.

I like the customization, open-source factor of Android, Microsoft, Linux, etc.

I also like having choices.. Such as colors, sizes, which programs I want to use, if I want to add memory (i.e. memory card in a tablet), if I want to replace a batter, etcetc. List goes on.

The one thing I feel like when I used my apple devices is I felt like a Sheep being herded. I must go with everything they tell me to go with.. Such as the memory (3 choices, really? no upgrade-ability and such?) And, of course, the obvious one.. iTunes. I want (and have) a choice of what the hell I want to use to buy my music, listen to my music, etc. Also, I don't need somebody telling me if my Application is "worthy" .. If I want to create a simple 2-hr private app just for me, to do a certain task.. I can just upload it into the Play Store. Not with apple.

I've used apple devices before. They are damn solid units of technology. However; they just aren't for me. If the iPad Air 64GB cost $100 and a Galaxy Note 10.1 or Nexus 10 was $300, I would still go with one of those.

I like apple's macbook air and the iphone is ok, I used it for a while before i switched to an S5 but I wouldn't buy anything else from them. The iMacs imo are basically laptops in a desktop form factor and are the most overpriced computer from apple(1,200 for an i5 with iris pro graphics and a slow 5400 rpm hard drive, really apple?). I don't do crazy editing and even if i did i would rather have a pc for that than a mac pro. Sorry if i sound like fanboy. I hate though that the majority of mac users don't really know anything about computers :/ and they say "OMG MACS ARE SO MUCH FASTER THAN PCS!" And the majority of them are upgrading from a really old desktop or laptop. Those are my thoughts on the topic

The only portable music player I use is my iPod classic. Mass storage and decent audio with an interface that doesn't frustrate.

the MacBook Air right now is very good price/performance especially with those Iris graphics and the PCIe SSD.

it all depends whether or not I would buy from apple. It has to have a GOOD POINT in order for me to consider it

lol I put rockbox on my old iPod Classic 6G(yes a bit buggy on the 6G but it was worth it to me) and I found the audio quality to be better once you tweak it a bit with all the extra settings you get

Okay. And the point of that being......?

How does it offer anything over another nice native-Windows laptop?

Yes, the design is great.. But there are better design offerings that other companies provide. Then again, that's just my opinion.
