Why don't you like the hero? I thought it was meant to be good

Oh, I love the hero. It's fantastic. It's just that it has things I don't need and the WS has things I do.

1. I don't need SupremeFX. I use an ODAC. Plus the ALC1150 in my Z87I-Deluxe is almost exactly the same.

2. I don't use any of the ROG software. At all.

3. I'd really like the extra PCI instead of the extra OC capability. I'm just running a plain 4.4GHz clock.

4. .... I like the colors more on the WS. :)

  • 5 months later...

I just got this board on Linus' recommendation.  Got the thunderboltex/ii dual card, can't get anything to connect.  Had to move pins around to get the header pinouts to match up.  UEFI sees the card and shows the TB options.

Also got a 10GBase-T card (Dell BCM57810) and whenever I put it in, my DIMM-B1 slot reads as 128MB.  What gives?  Tried the same thing with an Intel X540-T2, same result.  >_<

Any tips?
