Sleeving on non-modular power supply
Hi guys,
I don't know much about cable sleeving but I would like to sleeve my pc's cables.
I wanted to know if it was possible to make custom sleeving on non-modular PSU. I currently have a Corsair TX750 (http://images.hardwarecanucks.com/image/skymtl/PSU_review/TX750/CORSAIR-9.jpg) and I was not really planning on changing it.
Also I wanted to know what are good starting points to know more about custom sleeving (where to buy stuff and tutorials).
Thanks in advance.
Yes, you can, though if you want to do the best looking job you can, you'll have to take apart the PSU's shell so you can go further into it. Or you can just use heatshrink material right where it goes inside, but will be noticeable depending on placement of the PSU. Take note, however, this will void your warranty.
If you want the best, top-notch cable sleeving job/services/materials/tools/DIY kits, etc I highly recommend LutrOo Customs. (http://lutro0-customs.com)
However, you can find all the materials, tools & sleeving at these awesome mod sites:
FrozenCPU - http://www.frozencpu.com/index.html
PerformancePCs - http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php
XoXide - http://www.xoxide.com
ModDIY - http://www.moddiy.com
Also, on YouTube there are a plethora of great cable sleeving tutorials. One by our very own almighty Mr. Sebastian. If you want professional-grade work, look up LutrOo Customs on YouTube. Mike is more or less known as the Sleeving King.
Hope that helps.
