CrossFire with r9 270x and 7850?

As the the title says, is that theoretically possible, since they are the same core? I have one of each, however the bios on the 7850 is messed up but I'm still gunna try if its possible.

I think so. Crossfire isn't like SLI where it has to be the EXACT same card.

on full load the R9 270x in X-Fire is loading close to 400 watts

 

so yea you might need to get something higher like 600+ watts to be safe

 

if you gonna X-Fire the 2 cards

 

try installing the 7850 into the first slot with the latest beta driver installed

 

followed by the R9 270X into the second slot

 

both card will X-Fire but the R7 270X will downclock itself to match the speed of the 7850 unless you do some OC to the 7850 to match the speed of the R9 270X

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
