Posted April 24, 2014 i7 for everything. Xeons are server grade and are good when you 1. don't need onboard graphics 2. need a cheaper CPU 3. ECC memory option

Posted April 24, 2014 They're made for different things. Xeons are more for servers and professional applications such as 3D modeling, or video editing. i7s are still made for professional apps, but are more geared towards the consumer and have better support for applications such as games. If you don't know why you need a Xeon, you don't need a Xeon. i7s are better for gaming/editing hybrid rigs. Xeons are better for strict professional environments. Posted April 25, 2014 Why does everyone say Xeons don't have integrated graphics...? Some do, some don't. Same with i5/i7's; some have integrated graphics, and there are some that don't. Posted April 25, 2014 Same binning but they are made to run 24/7 at their rated speed. With regular usage it will last longer. Edit:there's a thread about this very subject on the main CPU page right now. 4770k @4.4 / 16GB @2400 / Plextor MP5X 128GB / MSI Mpower Z87 / MSI GTX 1070 Armor OC / AX860 / XSPC RX240 & EX240 / Koolance 380i / CM 690 II / Qnix 1440p @96Hz / Benq XL2420G Current Status: Mourning the loss of my 780 ti
