Asus Xonar U7 thoughts?

So as the title says, what are your thoughts on this USB sound card. How does it

really differ from a DAC and would it essentially be able to achieve the same

effect which is plug it in via USB and just listen to music.

I'm currently using on board sound via my Asus Maximus V but I've noticed that I

don't always get sound from all sources unless I use the front input which is

crappy and flimsy.

Unless you need 7.1 then I wouldn't bother, I doubt you'll see (or hear lol) a difference between that sound card and your Maximus's onboard audio

Why bother just switch to your rear I/O and be happy.
