Do you want to lead or follow

So now we have a sub forum it would be nice to see if the majority of the forum wants to lead or just follow, if we all have leaders the council elections would be interesting.

While I like alot of others have no desire to be on the council, I would not mind leading a small mercenary group. I will do what's needed and asked of me but I don't really think I have the time to be a council member.

 

Like @DamDirtyApe said, I would not mind knowing who is considering running for council and what there views are.

I do not mind leading a squadron though i will also be helping where i can basically (Escort, Trade, Mining/Salvage, Exploration, and maybe military)

I'm in to follow more than lead, but can lead when needed. Real life commitments take priority over game, so while I want to play a ton of SC, I can't guarantee time to it.

Alright so...Lead or follow, i´d  say neither yet at the same time Both....it depends on how you look at it, I´m not much of a "leader guy" although i have some years of experience sins Ragnarok Online to WoW, Mabinogi, EvE and....other stuff
I´m more of an Adviser, The Don´s right hand. the King´s Royal Mage (and the queens best man) The Butler, Gandaf the Gray, the annoying guy on the other side of the EA support hotline.
And i guess i can LEAD people into the kitchen to make me a sandwich now and then.....
My Play style is and always will be  "Wild" and my occupation will be Jack of all trades.
In the org and on paper i guess ill settle with Mining (and engineering bcuz im crafty), Explorer or Bounty Hunter. still need to taste how this works in-game, but yeah.....During OP´s and War´s ill Flip the table and go balls to the walls, wild and stupid (trying to follow orders)

Known cons about me: i´m lazy, somewhat senile and somewhat mentally slow, im no SSD so if i cant give an answer regarding advice or questions bear with me, ones the head is behaving like it should ill give you an essay.

As for the HYPBP: I like Pandas more then Polar bears but i´d take a Cheetah anytime. Now with that said, as a Council candidate i´ll promise you all i will nominate someone else to deal with this because the lack of Cheetahs and the fact i lack information on whats going on!!! (mostly the lack of information)

Well this was eye opening, I thought we had all leaders but it's quite the opposite.

I wouldn't mind leading and being on the council but real life gets in the way, my gameplay has always been to be the sacrifice or kamikaze, I'm the guy that breaches the room so it's safe for my team mates.

So unless people want to be in a kamikaze squadron I don't think I'll have many followers

Also Polar Bear Pulp was outlawed after the grizzly bear scandal where they were found that PBP had traces of grizzlys and pandas. As we don't want to lose our trade agreement can we keep this chatter on encrypted channels

I think the thing is we all seem to be a pretty mature bunch of people so we all know just how much work leading all these people would be.

I could be a leader, but like you real life would make my role a bit spotty as I'm a bit of a weekend warrior with some evenings. so a small group sure a large one hell no! haha.

 

Fellow kamikazi brother... I am one of those guys as well PTFO and all that... I am hoping to try and stay alive in this game though.

But as directed to the whole leader/application thing. I'm sure once we are at a point that the HC is ready to seriously tackle the Council questions, candidates and other whatevernots we'll have a dedicated thread for us to actually make statements to the public on why those should be leaders or put into positions of some form of power. This is hardly a forum where it's easy to read through, or where people can properly display what they want or want to do for the fleet. Eventually it would be nice to set up a thread for each groups candidates to make a statements that the fleet can easily access and likely, in the future, cast a vote on each individual group leader. Whether it they belong to that group or not, a council leader can likely play a part in how the entire fleet operates.

I wouldn't mind leading a squadron or platoon. I am a fairly good strategist and i like a challenge^^

I'll be piloting a really large ship in the game and hopefully it'll be something that i can use for both hauling trade goods from one place to another. And dish out my share of damage in larger fights.
But i'll see what's available when the game is closer to release. The Vanduul ships look really good though. The smallest thing i'll pilot is the constellation.. or the idris.

Then i'll work towards capturing a bengal or if possible a Vanduul Kingship. Imagine having one of those beasts in the fleet^^

I guess I'm a soldier through and through. It matters not if I lead nor follow. If I'm given a job, I'll do it. If I'm idling about then I'll set a goal for that day and follow through.
