780 3gb gddr5 is sufficient for 1440p

I want to know if 3 gb gddr5 will be sufficient for 1440p or i wait until new 6gb gddr5 cards come out

Most games will not use more than 3GB of VRAM at 1440p. I say just go for the 3GB version since at 1440p it can play nearly any game at high-max settings above 60FPS.

Yes for now in the future games will hit use the entire 3GB but by then the 780 probably wont be a very powerful card in comparisons to newer ones. 6gb are they are kinda out now anyway.

absolutely, 3gb 780 will be fine for 1440p gaming

3GB is plenty! Even at 4K Crysis 3 only uses more than 3GB when you turn AA on, just to put it into context.

3 GB is fine but I'd go for a 780 ti just for the extra horse power.
