My new budget build. Anything I can do to improve performance ?

Perhaps swap the A4 out for a Athlon 750K? since you are going for a dedicated GPU

Personally I would drop the expensive peripherals and buy them later and spend more on the PC itself but that is up to you how you want to prioritize your budget

buy peripherals once you've got a good pc.

go cheap there, then upgrade later.

Yeah, not a bad idea. Unfortunately I can't seem to find it on that particular site. I'm sure newegg or something will have them.

Do what  @Luclocke specced up

i5 5670K and a GTX 770 are miles above your original build and even includes a decent monitor and mid grade gaming keyboard and mouse

Once you go wireless for peripherals you never go back, you'll love it if you try it. Though mechanical keyboards are a different story. Try those out when you get around 150$ to blow on one down the road. It's pretty awesome.

Also if you need a gaming headset, logitech g930 is a good choice. 7.1 emulated surround a lot of people will say is horrible, but if you're a FPS player it's fucking great. Headset in america is around 90 USD

I get what you mean. wireless seems to be the way to go for now.

Only negative it has is its battery life; but thats really not a serious issue to me.

The mouse and headset I have can be wired or wireless, (useable while charging via usb to micro usb)

Be aware, the motherboard and powersupply I chose have features for SLI and Overclocking.

Around 700-750 watts is the safe spot for SLI and OC

The motherboard has to support those features as well.

Obviously the case needs to have enough expansion slots as well and clearance.

Ram I went with 8gbs of 1866, you can choose to slot in another 8 if need be later on.

Save the OP $14 and skip the double mice. The keyboard has a mouse included, then you have the same mouse listed again.

@Leon

With your budget, anything less than a GTX780/R9 290 is a massive failure.  You shouldn't spend more than $150 AUS on a motherboard, its just not necessary and there is no gain by doing so.  This $150 mobo will perform the exact same as that $300 mobo.  You don't need a 750W PSU, its overkill.

Also go with a less expensive case.  Case doesn't impact performance, so no sense spending more than you need to.  The CM K280 will work very well for your needs, while saving you $25.  Everything will fit, I just checked the dimensions.

A valid point, I'm not too fussed about the case. However i do enjoy the sleek "futuristic" look of some cases.
