The problem with high speed RAM is higher CAS latency

It's pretty much the cheapest 8gb kit in the uk.

in that case, i would say go for it, the 2400 mhz will help in bf4, and shouldent impact other games that much.

Not sure about monitor. I want a IPS monitor for less than £125.

Whats the best around for that budget?

i would open up a new thread for that, because this thread will mainly be opened by people in europe, that are interested in RAM

I predict that future games will utilize higher speed RAM because PS4 has 5500mhz RAM and the Xbox One has 2133 mhz RAM

the 5000ishMHz RAM you are talking about is GDDR5 aka video ram. Basically every current good graphics card has it. And games already utilize it. For standard DDR3 and 4 (when it becomes mainstream) is much slower but is much more efficient for tasks that it is used for on the computer.

I know that the PS4 uses GDDR5 RAM, but I believe that RAM is used for the CPU and GPU
