LG 34UM95 34" Ultra Widescreen 21:9 Monitor - My New Favourite

That is pretty boss, the only thing I dont like about the ultra wide monitors is that games that dont support it look horrible with those big black bars :(

also it would make recording gameplay videos for youtube a nightmare

maybe as a second gaming pleasure only display I could get by

EDIT: I wonder how it compares size wise 30" 2560x1600 display

Yeah but that means suffering a horrible experience for myself :/ I guess I will have to stick to 16:9 for now

Oh god dat $1500.... I am surely gonna get one of these when the prices go down, but that might be a while, and in the meantime stick to a more affordable easier to drive 27" 2560x1080 21:9 :D

Dat price Tho

yeahhh, he usually doesn't talk alot about the price tag on premium products, it is abit of a niche thing so i guess it is to be expected, looks like a cool monitor but it isn't something i will be buying anytime soon.

Holy fuck. That price thou. Other than that looks boss.

Just to give people an idea of game support.

Out of my 108 games

90% support 21:9 without need to change or fix anything

9% need a text adjustment or can be fixed by using Flawless Widescreen

Mirrors Edge has black bars and can't be fixed (or easily enough for me to bother with)

I'm still attached to my 16:10 22" monitor. I love that aspect ratio. That's why I didn't buy a new monitor since... I don't know how many years. 1080p feels too narrow for me. That ultrawide monitor looks nice for certain uses, though.

As awesome as this is, and as much as I want one after watching the video, AND.... as much as I have spent on my PC or even gaming over the years......$1,500 is too much for me for a monitor.

Eagerly awaiting a $500-$700 model.

PRETTY PLEASE (as the panel is staying in house and accessible to you after'the'fact)

Can we eventually see LG 34UM95 3440x1440 benchmarks in the same fashion as you do 1440p/1080p benchmarks.

This resolution (3440x1440p) 'judging from your video about it' seems pretty ideal for dual-gpu/crossfire/sli setups and more forgiving of performance than 3840x2160 on those same "dual" setups.

The min/avg/max of this resolution would be pretty ideal for most (60-70fps) Ultra detail spec visuals,...from dual-760 up to the dual-780ti, and dual 265's-290x's/295x2's

widescreen_joke_tee_shirt-rc86c5dee1c734

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I hope it comes down in price as I love my VG248QE but it's nowhere ideal for productivity and color accuracy.

The 21:9 monitors are great. I could not afford the 1500 dollar price of the 34" but I was able to get two 29" 2560x1080 monitors for 350 dollars on sales thru Amazon and Newegg. I have the AOC 29-inch IPS Q2963PM (21:9) LED Monitor at work and the Acer B296CL bmiidprz 29-Inch IPS (2560 x 1080) Widescreen Display with ErgoStand at home. At 2560x1080 my GTX 660 Ti has no issues pushing Ultra settings on games which I don't think it would be able to do at 3440x1440. I am a financial manager and I can tell you this monitor is so much better than dual monitor work as the side by side for some reason is better on my eyes strain wise IMHO. For gaming like Linus said the immersion and color make up for what TN give you in refresh and I am not a pro gamer so I don't think I would see the benifits, but man in WarThunder or World of Tanks the FOV is actually a bonus same for MMO's even D3 and Civ 5 its just great to have that screen real-state.

We can build it, we have the technology!

Finally you have come to realize the awesomeness of a 21:9 display. I really need to see this monitor in person...!!!

I have been using an LG 29EA93 for sometime, but 2560 X 1080 is nothing compared to 3440 X 1440.

If it was half the price, I would've considered to buy it.
