It is...too damn big.

They pretty much lied about what kind of size it was going to be.

Ah well. Maybe their next device will be smaller.

If i didn't have a Nexus 5 right now I think this would have been my next phone.

Also, I hope that the idea that Google started with the nexus devices of 'high-spec low-price' spreads further

Yes, 290 pound.

But currently the only way to get one is by invite.

Impressive spec is really impressive. And for just $300? Man that's the bargain of the century for a mobile phone.. :P 5.5" inch screen is just too big for most people I think.

Are those icons customisable? they seemed to take inspirations from the Windows Phone.

Hmm not too bad I suppose, still don't think I will enjoy android but having something like this might let me play around a little

Yep, that's the beauty of CyanogenMod

We need to get @LinusTech an invite so he can review it for us

Really nice. I really like how it's just a 50 dollar difference between the 16GB and 64GB model. That's how it should be for all phones.

I've never tried CyanogenMod before. But I can already imagine Linus ranting about its bottom facing speaker, no Qi charging and no micro sd slot.

Linus doesn't care about microSD cards. He will probably complain about the speakers and no Qi charging though.

I would complain about the lack of microSD card as well, but the 64GB model is so cheap (actually reasonably priced) that I am willing to forgive them for not including it.

I just bought my Nexus 5 two weeks ago as well lol. Surely there must be some sort of drawback at this price or will the phone really perform just as well as the top end Android phones?

While it might "perform" as well as current flagships in terms of speed, there will be some drawbacks at this price, no doubt.  It's a new company, selling a phone at cost.  Google can afford to sell a phone at cost as they have billions and will make it up through content purchasing. This company has neither.

Aww snap, I'm surprised they lived up to "under 400$" being meaningfully under 400$.

now, the issue is how long I have to wait to buy one.

For that price, no SD card slot is completely fine.

Error: 410
