Help on my first build

1. Budget & Location

I'm building a PC (if possible, a hackintosh) and I'm having trouble fitting it to my budget. If possible, I want to lower it to around PHP 40000 (USD 900) including the monitor. Location: Philippines (This is the most diverse shop I could find in our country (PCHUB) so I picked out all my parts from there.)

2. Aim
I'll primarily use it for college stuff (engineering and programming) and photoshop. The only thing I require is the SSD boot drive. I'm unsure about the i5, the 270X and the 16GB RAM. The i5 and 16GB RAM are for photoshop and the 270X is because I'd like to try out gaming (could also be used for PS acceleration but it's mostly for gaming.)

3. Monitors
1 monitor. 23" IPS FHD is preferred.

4. Peripherals
No OS needed, I got it handled. About the peripherals, I forgot about that, wait I'll update it. (Not that concerned about the peripherals, I need it to be as cheap as possible)

5. Why are you upgrading?

N/A. This is my first build.

Here's what I have right now: (Currency in PHP)

  • Intel Core i5 4670 3.4-3.8Ghz (Quad Core) PHP10110
  • Gigabyte Z87M D3H PHP5230
  • Corsair Vengeance (Dual) 2x8gb ddr3 1600 CL9 (CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9) PHP9660
  • Sapphire Radeon R9 270X Dual-X Boost 2gb/256bit, OC Ed PHP9220
  • NZXT Source 210 Elite PHP1990
  • Corsair CX 500watts (CX500M) 80Plus Bronze, modular PHP3150
  • 1Tb WDC Caviar Blue (WD10EZEX) 64mb sata3 hdd  PHP2740
  • Plextor M5S Series 128gb sata PHP4640
  • LG (23EA53V-P) IPS LED PHP8160

TOTAL: 54900 (~USD 1235)
