ASUS G750JZ Gaming Notebook

NCIX: http://bit.ly/1kjZABQ

Amazon: http://georiot.co/1ruf

The G750JZ from ASUS is the latest in their RoG series of notebooks. Its performance is more comparable to a desktop than a typical notebook though, and I have to say I was very impressed by the price:performance ratio of this little guy. I use the word "little" figuratively though. It's kinda beastly. In every way.

A desktop with similar spec only cost $150 less, all gaming companies should follow Asus, also Linus , the "Pricing & discussion: " link is missing on the video.

-Desktop: Asrock H81M-HDS R2.0, Pentium G3258 4.2 ghz OC, Palit GTX 750 ti StormX, Kingston HyperX Fury 1600 4gb, Seagate Baracuda

I have the G750JW (750GB HDD, 16GB RAM) for 1100€. I added an SSD 240GB (Kingston HyperX) and it's awesome. Adding 1000€ more just to get a better GTX880M and 8 more RAM, not sure if I would buy it.

Your desktop comparison didn't' really seem fair, if for gaming you could have gotten an i5-4670k, 8 gigs of ram and a 2gb 770 or 280x and 2 120gb 840 evo, and no one is gonna use the webcam or blu ray. And that would cost much less and pretty much match performance to the laptop. You seem like a pretty unbiased guy, but i don't really like taking your word in a review of something you are being sponsored by.

i7 2600 | HD 6870 | 8GB Memory | 120GB Samsung 840 EVO | 500W PSU | Fractal Define R4

I have a lot of upgrade plans, and no money  :)

well, other than gaming, an user can also use it for lots of other thing, so that's where the processor power and ram comes in handy, as Linus said so. I don't see any unfair in it. And also, lots of people out there like I am still use webcam and bluray.

Yeah but the title says "Gaming Notebook", and ther may be some people that still use webcams but blu rays are very rarely used with the average consumer

I guess I'm somewhat weird that still uses bluray, well, nowadays, pretty much all gaming laptops are pack with these strong processors to do other things, it is advertised as gaming, but you can do other thing with it. Off-course most important of all, gaming on the go, or for some people, work on the go. Like in one of the wan show Slick took the 750JZ with him to do his jobs and Linus said something about don't have to carry desktop. That's where gaming laptop comes in handy.

I think that gaming laptops get such high end cpu's and ram and storage because when you hit an 880m you can't go any higher in terms of gpu power.

i have a little problem with you reviewing the product you are being paid to advertise.

i know you are not paying paid for the review, but you cant really show us the bad parts about a product(if there are any) if you are being sponserd by the company who makes the product.

After two G73JH and one G73JW the only thing I can say about these R.O.G. laptops -> Avoid them like the plague. You gonna have more fun with the plague.

Frost upon these cigarettes.... lipstick on the window pane...
