X1XNobleX1X

Hello Forums,

I'm about to purchase a new AC router for my home networking, I need a router which has the best signal and fastest speeds at long range.

Thanks,

Noble

Edit: Thinking of different router

I have the 66u and it does everything just fine. If you can wait why not get that new beast Linksys router that was at CES

The EA6900 is far superior

Get the Asus RT-AC66U. I got the 68U and it's not amazing. You can also put custom software on the 66U and can't with the 68U.

Well, that's put me into a hard situation.

This.  ASUS's routers sport hardware like a boss to begin with, their firmware is a mature, well supported fork of WRT, and has features out tha wazoo.  Highly recommended.

AMD FX8350 • ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula Z • GeForce GTX 780 + 660 Ti x3 • Cooler Master HAF X • ASUS VG248QE 144Hz LCD+GSYNC • Corsair AX860i

Logitech G19 / MX518 • G.Skill RipjawZ 1866 4x4GB • Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD • WD 1TB Black SATA IIIx2 • Noctua NH-D15

Oh and I have a ae6700 from linksys (breath in......and breath out) , I dont recommend the brand for techies.

Once I installed a TP-link router...dont no which one but quite nice for the price.

ASUS routers are much more ''matured'' for us techies. IMO
