Understanding Gobbledygook

Geekazoid

Hi guys,

As you might guess from the title of this thread, I'm wanting to know why some members, when they want help, seem to talk Gobbledygook or gibberish. I know they don't intentionally talk like this but it kind of makes it difficult to understand what they're wanting help with. An example would be as follows:

Let's say the user is wanting to buy a new monitor and this is what they type.

"Hi, I'm look buy a mnta and wonding what I need go for. Shod fr an IES, TEEHENN or P Erl ess one. I you playe name bt Im nock sre winch not to co for. Thx for andy yelp."

Now that is a bit exaggerated but I just wanted to show you guys what I'm talking about. I do realise that there are many members on here where english isn't there first language and that's understandable but it still does make it a tad difficult to help someone if you don't really know what they're asking for.

Please note that I don't mean to offend anyone as I'm trying to point out that if someone wants help with something everyone needs to understand what it is that they're wanting help with. Otherwise it does make it quite difficult to help them out. Maybe they could even PM someone who speaks good english, if they do not, and ask for help to type what they're asking in clearer-to-understand english so that everyone can more easily understand them.

I actually find that it takes more effort to write like that sometimes, since I rarely type on mobile devices
