Gaming on an Atom.

So, i just installed Windows 8.1 to my old netbook, because i needed to install some apps that were not compatible in linux. But now i have the option to install any windows game, what would you guys recommend that is free and can run on it?

 

Specs:

CPU: Intel Atom N280 @1.66 Ghz

RAM: 1gb DDR2 667mhz 

OS: Windows 8.1 32 bit 

 

It doesn't really matter if it is an old or new game as long as it runs i am fine with it.

Main PC:

ASUS F1A55-M LX, AMD A6-3500, (2x2)gb Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1600mhz, Seagate Barracuda 500gb 7200rpm, 
 Corsair CX430M, Cooler Master Elite 343, Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Netbook:

Lenovo Ideapad S10-2, Intel Atom N280, (1x1)gb DDR2 667mhz, WD Scorpio Blue 250gb 5400rpm, Zorin OS 9 Lite

Older emulators might be a good choice.

From my previous experiences (

) one of the funnest games you can run is Worms World Party :)

The igpu is not good enough to play anything newer than 2001

It doesn't really matter if it is an old or new game as long as it runs i am fine with it.

The only games you might be able to play are the included games in Windows.

Desktop: Intel Core i7-6700K, ASUS Z170-A, ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 Ti, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512 GB Samsund 840 Pro, Seasonic X series 650W PSU, Fractal Design Define R4, 2x5TB HDD

Hypervisor 1: Intel Xeon E5-2630L, ASRock EPC612D8, 16GB DDR4 ECC RAM, Intel RT3WB080 8-port RAID controller plus expansion card, Norco RPC-4020 case, 20x2TB WD Red HDD

Other spare hypervisors: Dell Poweredge 2950, HP Proliant DL380 G5

Laptops: ThinkPads, lots of ThinkPads

Yes it can, but not the 2013 version because the screen resolution is too low. :P

 

I kinda knew guess emulators are the way to go. But i still wanted to try to ask for any windows games.

Sadly enough Windows 8.1 does not come with any games pre-installed and i can't access the store because of the resolution.

stronghold crusader. command and conquer zero hour. I dont care my phone can run these games, my and my older brother both medium end rigs. yet we love these games to death. i grew up on them and just. If you haven't played them, do. considering i ran it on a potato years ago, it should be fine

Maybe try running Red Alert 2 or other C&C games that aren't too demanding on that netbook  ;)

Older games or emulators. Maybe hook it up to a 1024x768 display and install Hill Climb Racing, Jetpack Joyride, and the two Flow games.
