What type of overclock should i be able to get out of my 780 TI Classified?

Hey LTT,

My 780Ti CLassified doesn't seem to want to overclock much. Am i expecting too much by pushing the core up 90 and the memory up 150? If i do that and run kombustor it artifacts pretty bad. Every game except bf4 runs flawlessly at stock speeds. At stock I get artifacts on BF4 but I'm just gonna say thats Bf4 being terrible.

If it helps, I was easily able to get 200MHz on the core and 300 on the memory from my 780.

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

Maybe i just lost the lottery on this almost $100 over stock, overclocking in mind card...

Also, i guess you should count in the factory overclock that there already is. (40MHz oc)

I mean that still means that I can't even get a 130 mhz overclock. Kinda disappointing. Bought this card over a reference one in hopes of a relatively good overclock. My CPU doesn't overclock well either lol. Anyway thanks for your help.

Its still not a horrible OC, I think i might've gotten the top of the silicon pile on my reference 780.

130MHz overclock isn't terrible. I only pull off about 150MHz including the factory overclock on my Asus GTX 760. You shouldn't be to worried about overclocking though, that card will kill anything you throw at it :P

Increase the voltage in EVGA Precision X.

On air. Not much more compared to reference.

 

Classifieds really prefer to be kept cooler.

I haven't messed with my memory clock because I don't care to, but I have my core clock offset set at 210 on my MSI 780ti
