NXG NX-HTDJ was pretty good in my experience. Not the best build quality obviously, but they shoudl hold up so long as you're not too abusive, and hey, they're cheap.

If its in ears then soundmagic e10s are bloody awesome, they dont have a lot of bass but the mids and highs are very very clean, the price has tripled since i got them  however, might be different where you are.
