Acrylic or Polycarbonate for side window?

Victorious Secret

Which one would be better? Does it matter? Both sheets are priced the same in the side I need them, any preferences one way or the other?

Poly is near impossible to damage.

acrylic is brittle and will wear faster...

I'm using 10mm acrylic, its stronger than glass I can say... never use anything other than MF towel to wipe it down, it will swirl like crazy. Poly guys come on, hes not using it for a jet cockpit canopy?

The sheets I'm looking at range from 2mm on the acrylic to 4mm on the poly.

All I really care about is what will be 'clearer'.

2mm for a panel is thin... I would suggest atleast 6mm. Acrylic is clearer than glass, it doesn't haze nor glare.

I would imagine acrylic is easier to work. Acrylic is very clear, and as long as you are careful with what you wipe it with, it shouldn't scratch.

A comparison between polycarbonate and acrylic, the two materials have a similar hardness and durability to scratches since they are both polymers, with polycarbonate pulling ahead in the durability and clarity. If you want to prevent the micro-scratches that occur on plastics completely, glass is very ideal since it's a much harder material and has a very high refraction index (clarity) which very similar to polycarbonate but tends to have more glare when there is an exterior light sources.
