Raven - An Extreme R.O.G. Experience

Welcome everyone to this buildlog.

I'm almost done with it, but I want to show every progress step by step, so you can easily follow it.

Let me start from the beginning.

In 2011 I was thinking about a new system. It should not only be technically sufficient but also visually appealing.

The case I went for was a silverstone raven 2 evolution. In my eyes the coolest cases by silverstone :)

Well I was looking for a theme for it. When asus released the Matrix 7970 and the Maximus V extreme I knew it, it will be a rog rig in black and red.

Ok, enough said. I show you some pics and will continue uploding all the pictures. :)

i made a hard drive cage like that once. but found i got a lot off vibrating noise from my hard drives.
you might want to try adding some rubber mounts.

But saying that i'm loving you build, keep up the great work. i'm look forward to the finished pictures  :)

Great build so far. I absolutely love the look of the raven series from Silverstone. I hope to use one for my next build.

There isn't enough space. There is about 2mm between gpu and rad :)

looks like youre gonna get alot of vibration going to the case from the pump? rubber grommets ftw?

You have to know, the build is almost done and the system is working so far.

Well, yes, the pump causes vibration, but only, if something does't fit as it should. The only problem I got so far, is that some screws start to vibrate because they get a bit loose. No big deal.

Really impressive metal fabrication, as well as painting. Your cable management and sleeved cables are just as nice :). I love the front panel mod, perhaps you could give me some plans on how you did that? I want to do the same for my case. My front panel like yours has a slightly kinked center. I want to replicate your design but to have a kink in the center to match the kink in the front case bezel. A+ build, love to see more people checking it out.

Thanks :)

Well the best way to cut out this peace of plastic, is to use a sharp knife. The plexiglas I'm using is this one right here: http://www.plexiglas-shop.com/DE/de/fuer-hinterleuchtung-fgs06f3a5ma/plexiglas-led-truled-black-white-9h04-sc-33cfo9caunz~p.html

You can order in the exact size you need it. In order to get the kink, you need a heatgun and a clean edge, for example your desk edge.
