Good 700$ Gaming PC Build ?

Go to solution Solved by Geekazoid,

Okay, I put together a build. It's a bit over your budget but you can adjust things to get it to a price that you're comfortable with:

(Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-04-20 14:19 EDT-0400)

EDIT: I removed the Samsung SSD and swapped out the Seagate Barracuda HDD for the Western Digital one because the Western Digital is more reliable if you're going to use a HDD as your main drive.

Oh! I also swapped out the EVGA GTX 750Ti for the MSI one that you preferred. I hope you like the changes. :D

Hey, this is farhan.. im looking to build a gaming pc for 700. i will overclock. i want to play games at 1080p. and i aslo prefer intel and nvidia. i know its a tough ask. but please, if anyone can help me with a parts list i will be greatful. no peripherals needed.   thanx in advance.

UPDATE : so i have made some decisions.... here is my build so far...

Slap in a 6300 and a motherboard, you might save a bit so plop that into the GPU

Are you anywhere near a microcenter? If so, it's worth it. You don't have to wait for shipping (or pay for it), it's cheaper, and it's a majestic place to behold (it basks in the glory of GabeN). There are deals there that aren't on their site.

Don't listen to these intel junkies (don't tell them I called them that they'll beat me up) sub 200 AMD just plain wins in gaming processors, so get a 6300.

I would go for an amd gpu and intel cpus.

the r9 270 is a great card for playing latest titles on high and ultra. (bf4 definitely runs on ultra with that card)

intel cpus (just my opinion) still are a little better most of the time because their single-core performance is better. if game developers would push for 6(+)-core-support, this might change.

for a budget build I would go with something like an athlon II 760k. they are very cheap and have 4 actual cores AND are overclockable. you get them for 60€ in germany. try finding somthing similar in that price range by intel.

there will be (a small) bottleneck when using very high-end cards, but not really worth the extra 150-200$ if you want to stay on a budget.
