Will a Dual Monitor Setup Decrease Performance?

I recently got another AOC 23" l2353PH monitor (now i have 2) and i have noticed a significant frame rate drop in Battlefield 4. In BF4 i usually run 70-80 fps with my settings and hardware but when i have both monitors plugged in it drops to 50-60 fps. I was wondering if that is caused by having 2 monitors plugged in and if there is a way to fix the problem or even disable one of the monitors while gaming.(I have a Gtx 770 if that helps)

If you're not running anything intensive on the other monitor, it shouldn't drop you more than a frame or two.

If you're not running the game on two monitors you should see no performance decrease. Are you sure you're playing in fullscreen on one of the monitors and not windowed borderless? Because I've found that can cause the game to perform worse, and still look like it's fullscreen.. -_-

Does youtube count as intensive?

if you have windows 8 its easy just go to the right corner, devices and then pc screen only and you will now only have 1 screen now launce the game and play then do that in reverse after

Is the game trying to run at a higher resolution?

Youtube video shouldn't be too bad, it's just h264 which is so easy to decode.  10-bit h264 on the other hand...now that might cause some performance issues, especially if you're using madvr.

flash is a CPU killer for older CPUs.  THAT sounds more likely than anything with your GPU.

what CPU are you running anyways?

Next day, not having any problems idk what it was. I took it out and dusted it after like a month that could have been the problem.

Just curious, have you tried gaming with both monitors? And if so is it annoying in BF4?
