AT2020 vs Blue Yeti

BaconComputing

Hello! I'm not exactly considering buying either of these, as I have to way to justify the cost :3. I just want to know, which of these are better for the price? I know the AT2020 is slightly more expensive, but bang for buck ratio, which is better for general voice overs and possibly vocal recording?

Thanks,

-Bacon

Both are good, neither is worth it unless you're a podcaster. I regret getting the blue yeti

It's good, but it's not worth it. No mic is unless you've got a purpose other then gaming

Yeah, I understand, I'm just wondering about which is better for my purposes, not wanting to know why I shouldn't get it :).

The AT2020 is more for you? That's surprising. Anyways, I greatly prefer the AT2020.It looks better, sounds better and I overall prefer it. The only downside to it is no hardwired gain control.

The At2020 is better than the blue yeti but both mics are really good in terms of build and sound quality.

For price/performance ratio the at2020 in comparison to the blue yeti doesn't justify its price.

They're almost the same quality I would say, I own an AT2020. It's really not worth the investment unless you plan on using it a lot or need the high quality audio. I make YouTube videos some time so that is why I got mine. I am selling it soon and getting a mod mic and audio technica 50x instead, because I feel the little decrease in quality of the mod mic is worth it because of the convenience of not having to setup a boom stand ect. everytime I have to use it. Consider the costs of a boom stand, mic holder, and possibly a pop filter when buying one of these, because you will need them.

Just curious, how much would you be selling it for?

It's really against the CoC to discuss this anywhere but the classifieds section, sorry.
