F@H Web Control not working

Go to solution Solved by Whaler_99,

I have had the exact same issue on one folder - no way, no how, would the browser version EVER work. Never figured it out either... was very weird. I can only assume some Windows component broke/missing, but who knows what.

I have heard that doing a full re-install of .NET 3.5 can sometimes fix this... but I didn't bother testing that as I normally used advanced viewer anyways. Running the client in the Web, expecially bloody chrome, spans a whole bunch of processes...

Looked through the FAQ and couldn't find anything. It just sits on this screen below. Randmonly one day it didn't work.  My WU's are increasing and so are my PPD, so it is folding, just web control doesn't work for some reason.

Any Ideas. Am i being my usual self and missing something obvious.

Heres some pics.

Just sits on this, I have even left it over night.

It is actually running as show:

Yeah, I know it's no big problem, just wondering why as sometimes I use web control.

Still nothing, I guess I could try a different browser, already tried with opera to no avail.

Thanks for the heads up. I can't really be stuffed doing that for something i only use once in a while. So i'll just use advanced and that little controller when you right click on the icon.

I've got no idea if my issue is the same as what you and Almercenary has/had. Also, I know it's a late response to this specific topic, but if someone else finds this thread it may help them.

So I had a bunch of plugins in my Firefox browser that I thought my cause issues (Ghostery, uBlock Origin, and Https Everywhere) I turned them all off/whitelisted the F@H client page and it worked again. I think it was the Https Everywhere plugin that caused it because now it's connecting over normal HTTP and working just fine instead of being unable to connect with certain errors caused by HTTPS. But again, not sure if that was the issue you had but this helped me. Might help someone else as this page was ranked quite high when I did a Google search.

So, hopefully it helps someone. :)

It's probably a browser specific problem (extension causing interference); try navigating to the web control page with a clean Internet browser and see if it works properly

HTTPS enforcement will definitely throw up some warnings in chrome and won't load scripts by default
