Pioneer sea1000

PC-NOOB

I see that the pioneer sea1000 is reccommended frequently as a ~$50 headphone.

Reading some reviews, I have some few questions:

How is the comfort? I hear that it is huge and I have an average size head.

Is the material comfortable? I don't want to it to be itchy or whatever.

Comfort is my top priority!

I have glasses so is that an issue?

How is the build quality? I want this to last a couple years. It'll stay forever on my desk plugged into my pc for eternity.

First, when you put it on if it is too big you can mod it very easily and it is reversible. For me, it was actually too small and it pulled up the bottom of the pads for me and felt really weird. After I modded it to fit properly it was very comfortable but after a few hours, the grainy texture of the cloth got uncomfortable for me. It might not for you depending on how sensitive your ears are. As for the glasses, it should be fine. The pads are soft and light. As for build quality it should last a while but it doesn't look as durable as something like V-Modas or Beyerdynamics but you're only paying $55 for it.

This. except my head isn't as large, and they fit me very nicely stock.

In addition to what others have already said, I quite liked them because the clamp force was insanely minimal. Pads aint deep, so if you're prone to lobe irritation you might have to buy some cotton balls to stuff underneath, but again, friggin' $50.

NVX XPT100 might be slightly more comfortable in a different way, and a tad more durable, if you've got the extra cash.
