Nvidia quadro k4000 or gtx 780ti for video editing and a little 3d work

Hello. I am building a pc for video editing and composting a little 3d work. I will be using mostly after effects and a little premiere and c4d. My question is should I buy a Nvidia quadro k4000 or a gtx 780ti. Price is not a problem. But it is not just rendering I care about. I also want fast preview times. I will only be having one or another in my system and no other card.

Edit: I mean k4000 not 400

Quadro, it is more precise and built maticulously for work purposes.

Only go 780 if you are not serious about your work, there are ways to have a GeForce with a Quadro in 1 machine if you need to get your game on.

Unless you really need some of the technologies that are only in the Quadros, the 780TI should offer much better performance because it has >3x as many cuda cores..

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

Im not sure if you mean the k600, i cant find the k400 anywhere. The k600 will best the 780 ti at rendering due to double precision but i think the 780ti is the way to go as it is a multi tasker, you can game, edit, render etc at decent speeds. Also the k600 will not handle multiple screens well, its not low end vram.

Honestly, spend another $200 and get a GTX TITAN Black. It has the double floating point precision of a Quadro with the gaming performance of a GTX card.

Main Rig: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X | RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) KLEVV CRAS XR RGB DDR4-3600 | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX | Storage: 512GB SKHynix PC401, 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus, 2x Micron 1100 256GB SATA SSDs | GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra 10GB | Cooling: ThermalTake Floe 280mm w/ be quiet! Pure Wings 3 | Case: Sliger SM580 (Black) | PSU: Lian Li SP 850W

Server: CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3100 | RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) Crucial DDR4 Pro | Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B550-PLUS AC-HES | Storage: 128GB Samsung PM961, 4TB Seagate IronWolf | GPU: AMD FirePro WX 3100 | Cooling: EK-AIO Elite 360 D-RGB | Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow (White) | PSU: Seasonic Focus GM-850

This is a good option, it however would stop you from gaming whilst doing work if you were to go K4000 and bang a GTX 760 in With it.

Not entirely sure, it would seem it would on paper, real world may vary.

Unfortunately a Quadro card doesn't really boost your working experience unless you need the 10bit per color output and almost all of them are getting blown away by Geforce cards where the number of CUDA cores matters (e.g. Premiere).

Same goes for C4D unless you're rendering übersized files that don't fit onto the vram (3GB on the 780Ti should be enough for IRAY).

144Hz goodness

Doesn't make a difference.

Other than using something like a 10-bit display, there's no point getting a ws card for what the OP is doing.
