Roccat Talk won't open

Hey!

Got a problem with Roccat Talk here..

It will not open.

I have tried reinstalled it twice, rebooted, unplugged the mouse (Roccat Kone XTD) but it still won't work correctly.

 

I click the Roccat Talk icon, the window pops up, second I move the mouse pointer over it, it closes

The OS is Windows 8.1

Anyone? this is getting annoying.. can't change settings on the mouse

 

Tried on my laptop (also Windows 8.1) and my sisters laptop (Windows 7) got the same issues there...

 

I'm getting close to smashing the mouse in the wall and buy something else. <_<

Hope you haven't smashed your mouse yet. If all you want to do is change mouse settings download the driver here: http://www.roccat.org/Support/Gaming-Mice/ROCCAT-Kone-XTD/

 

Unfortunately, I'm having the same issue with Talk not opening, though. I am also on Win8.1. I'll update if I find a fix

I have already tried that... It says my mouse isn't connected. Which it is!

I too have a Roccat Kone XTD and I can't get Roccat Talk to open either, but have you tried emailing customer support?

7 Years later, this is still a problem. Did I just get scammed by Roccat? I already knew Roccat was one of the worst PC hardware brands. Like i'd have never gotten something from them, but they were the only company that makes mouse pads this large, and has an LED around it that is integrated with software. I paid $50 bucks for it, knowing I could make my own LED mousepad for probably 10 and minimal work. I did that, cause I thought I would be able to do the stuff all of my Razer items can do with this LED mousepad. 

I started looking for fixes to the problem, and all I can find EVERY PLACE GOOGLE LINKS ME TO, is "it won't open, and it's blinking red" between 5 and 7 years ago. So I guess I'm done looking for a fix, and I guess they just scammed me. Cause they still sell these items using the AIMO feature as a reason you should buy it. I guess I deserved this, for buying anything from a company I already knew was one of the worst of the worst. I don't understand how they had that little fanbase years ago in the first place. Pretty sure the fanbase is nonexistent now though, since I haven't seen a post about talk fx IN GENERAL sooner than 5 years ago. Not one.

Sorry i'm done ranting now. If you read through this essay of irritation, I'm surprised. So I'll say that I'm also sorry for reviving a really old thread, I feel like I've seen people act like that's a dick move before. I don't usually use sites like this. But I just wanted you guys to see the fact, that they took your money for the things you bought, and didn't have the decency to at least fix the whole selling point of your purchase, even 7 years later it's still happening.
