You will need a capture card, or just, you know, record the screen with a phone because you can't use fraps, OSB, or anything of the sort......

Spoiler

Case Bitfenix Ghost, Mobo Asus Maximus VIII Ranger, CPU i7 6700K @4.2 Ghz cooled by Arctic cooling Freezer i30, (barely). GPU Nvidia GTX 970 Gigabyte G1 @1519Mhz core, RAM 16Gb Crucial Ballistix CL16 @2400Mhz. SSD 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus as my OS drive. HDD's  1TB  Seagate ST31000524AS its OEM, 3TB Seagate Barracuda, 2x 500GB WDC Blue (RAID 0)

If it isn't working absolutely perfectly, according to all your assumptions, it is broken.

Best capture card I've seen that works for both PC and xBox recording is the Elgato Game Capture HD. Kinda expensive but I think it would be a worth while investment :)

For shadowplay you need an Nvida GPU....

yeah, I know I have a 780... I was just curious is there was a way to pass the video through the GPU and record it that way.

I got a Happauge tv tuner card/capture card in my system, I just put it in there early this week, it is working great for the tv part, going to try and record stuff on it soon.

I got it mainly to watch tv since my computer monitors are much bigger then the only tv i own lol, but It also has svideo and rca inputs on it for hooking up other devices, I plan on hooking up a vcr to put a few of older vhs movies I have on my computer before the tapes completely degrade, it doesn't say but it works fine with windows 8.1 as that is what I am running on my system I have it in.

open your xbox up, insert an nvidia card, I recommend the 750ti, apply thermal paste until it fills it all up, close the case, format your xbox, install windows, get nvidia drivers, set up shadowplay, play a game and record with shadowplay.

Technically you're recording xbox gameplay with shadowplay
