Best free HDD cloning software?

I need to clone a HDD so I can put it on a SATA drive and bacup form files because i cant boot the OS. What is a good cloning software that i can boot into? I'm currently downloading clonezilla but iv never used it.

I would recommend Clonezilla, used it all the time with my server ;)
