Oppo Find 7 or Project Ara?

So I'm currently using an Iphone 4s on contract and my contract ends in September/October. I'm wondering if I should get the Oppo Find 7 when it comes out (not the 7a) or wait till January and get Project Ara? I'm wondering what are your thoughts on both and which one you think I should get. Try to explain why you picked one. :) Thanks

There's no guarantee if either phone will be worth the wait, particularly Project Ara. You should wait until there's more details.

I say the Oppo Find 7. There are so many cutting-edge features on that phone right now. Although Project Ara seems pretty good, I would just stick with a phone that is sure to be reliable.

Yes, oppo does work in America but only on At&t and Tmobile. Also, Oppo Find 7 has better specs just saying :P

iPhone 6 or HTC One M8 or Samsung Galaxy S5

The iPhone 6 will be released around the time of the end of your contract.

Project Ara probably won't be commercially available for another 2 years. Get the Oppo or the HTC M8.

I don't really care that much about Project Ara because it will probably be U.S only thing because Google never likes going international and you have to wait another year if you want Project Ara so I would get the Oppo Find 7 because it is about to come out in about 2 months.

Hmm... Is <future product X which we don't know how good it is> better than <future product Y which we know next to nothing about, not even a release date>?

The only correct answer is "nobody has any idea and anyone pretending to do is a huge liar or a time traveler".

Just wait until your contract ends and look at what's available by then, as well as what will be released in the near future.

The U.S variant is going to be a full GSM phone so you would have to pay full price

paying full price isnt the problem, as i can sell my s4 and pay the 200-250$ difference. its that i cant use it on sprint.

Depends on what bands Fido uses. I have only been able to find that they use 850MHz and 1900MHz. The Oppo Find 7 supports both of those so texting/calling and 3G/HSPA+ should work just fine.

I couldn't find that much info about the LTE bands they use though. It seems like the international model supports one of the bands Fido uses (band 7), and the US model supports the other band Fido uses (band 4) but I don't have any reliable source for that.

PROJECT ARA!!!!! Why would you even consider the Find 7 when Ara is coming? A customizable phone besides operating system though I think. I would definitely want a phone that is made by me, wouldn't you? Plus the Find 7 is expensive because it is new and made by a new weird company. I would say it is international but its not because it has 4G LTE in America.
