Best Looking Case for Selling Your PC?

Anthony10

I know a lot of people looking for a pc will buy it for the case. I have a crappy case that isn't too good looking, so that brought up this thought:

What are some >$100 best looking cases that appeal to most people?

So I'm going to sell my PC soon, and I know a lot of people looking for a pc will buy it for the case. I have a crappy case that isn't too good looking, so that brought up this thought:

You'd be far better off parting it out rather than selling it as a whole. Trust me.

Well, if you sell it to someone who doesn't want to buy individual computer parts and wants a PREBUILT gaming PC (usually coming from console) then you can milk a ton of extra money out of it.

Why would you do that.... Also no one would want to buy someones used machine. Ever. If you want a pre-built and your hell bent on one you go to OriginPC or DigitalStorm.

Do you think so? I was worried I wouldn't be able to sell it all in a timely manner, as I will be using the money for my next build. How much should I markdown the prices from retail? Mine are about 3months used. 15%? more? less?

Yea, I was going to remove 16gb of the ram in selling the whole system as it would raise the price too high for something the buyer wouldn't want/need, and sell the 16gb by itself

Nope, I sell on eBay as a business. It's always more profitable to part out a higher end build. Any build that cost you under $800 to put together I'd sell as a whole system.

As a disclaimer, I've never sold a full system before.  That said, I have bought one and the number one thing about a case that would make or break the deal for me is being too gaudy.  Edgy case like the Phantom line from NZXT might be a huge selling point for some but it can also be a big turn-off for others.  I think something fairly clean and basic would be the best in order to open up more potential buyers.  Just my two cents.

The Corsair C70 is a great choice for a case because it has ample mounts for fans and there is alot of cable management room for a non-modular psu (TX 650 V2). Pretty solid case imo as it is constructed mostly out of steel.
