Help with casemodding

Noxz

Hey guys! So, I got my first desktop for some weeks ago. And I'm kinda tired of it. Therefore I really want to do some casemodding. But I have absolute no idea about what to do. I want to either casemod my CM Storm Stryker or buy a little mid tower totally black with no details and make it look sick inside. But I got no clue about what to do :3 Any suggestions / tips? Thanks

Best regards,

Daniel aka Noxz.

What about it do you dislike?

"M. Aronnax." replied the Canadian, "your arguments are rotten at the foundation. You speak in the future, 'We shall be there! we shall be here!' I speak in the present, 'We are here, and we must profit by it.'"

How about you throw some carbon wrap onto it, you coudl spray paint some of the parts like the 3.5inch bays, if i was you get a really shitty case, like a very cheap one or a broken one from ebay and try practising different methods of modding and when you thinking your up for the task you can mod your stryker

I suggest you to first look for a theme.

Then a budget! Case modding can get pricey. There are always options to make it less pricey tho.

When you are done with that, I suggest you to plan out stuff.
You know yourself best, how DIY are you? Do you have tools?
Do you want your case to look great on the outside or inside?

Well, money are not a problem for me :3

I might buy in some tools yea, dont got so much, but I got some tools that I use on my rc cars. And I dont really want to my pc to be awesome on the outside, my dream is to have a black mid tower with no details or nothing, but when I take off the side panel everyones like *Oh my god* and then drop to the floor cuz it's so sexy, lawl. It's my new project. I'm starting at cable management on my Striker asap, I'm ordering in some stuff tomorrow and I hope to make that pc sick. ;)

Oké well, then you can sleeve your own cables! The tools are a little pricey, but the material itself is pretty oke.

Water cooling is useally the thing where people go "WoW!" I can link a few examples of builds that people did on this forum.

You need to pick colors. 3 at most. Since your case is white, that is your "main color" the simple color to add in here is black and then.. 1 last color. This can be whatever you like.

I highly suggest you to do cable management last, but plan it out. I would make costum cables. Or well, it depends. I am getting extensions, so I completely said to myself. Oké, screw cable management. I will do this all when I get the extensions. I did however measure a bunch of times and planned the route out that I want to go.

Do you have a full modulair PSU?

You can do a lot with a dremel, plexiglass or alluminium and paint.

There are a lot of sites or places where you can look at casemods for inspiration.

Since you did not decided on a theme yet, clean RC car? Black, white, .. any color that is not blue, red, green. (unless you really like this!)

I was thinking on blue, but since I managed to buy wrong motherboard (P9X79 Deluxe) then I might take gold sleeving to make it look more color themed? And I dont got a modular psu :( I really want one, but I cannot afford it at the moment. But I will try to get my hands on one. So you think that I should do for black, white and gold sleeving thingy?

You just said, money is not a problem?

You can sleeve a non modulair PSU, but it's a little bit more tricky. And yes, if you want to have a "WOW! effect" then you should try to make your build color themed.

If your motherboard is gold, then yep - go gold!

I can give a few gold themed builds. There was one sexy one on the NCIX LAN party in Vancouver.

You can find more gold themed builds in the interwebs.
