The Most Memory Hungry Internet Browser

Geekazoid

Hi guys,

As the title indicates, I'm curious as to what internet browsers you think are the most memory/RAM hungry.

I would personally award this title to......*drum roll*.......Google Chrome.

This hasn't stopped me from using it though. :D

Memory usage doesn't matter much, if you can't run a web browser then I would seriously consider rethinking your computer...

Yeah, Google really need to fix it.

its not something that needs to be fixed...

the reason it uses so much ram is because of all the fancy features it has as well as functionality, which is what makes it the best browser

and btw 1gb is barely anything

if you dont have an extra gb of ram you really need to get a new computer/phone

I have 16GB in one computer and 64GB in another.

When Chrome starts chewing out a couple GB or more just from average browsing, thats an issue. Memory usage does matter.

Chrome is inefficient and useless at clearing out its memory footprint.

Hmm...I think Google Chrome is suffering from a memory leak problem, however this is just my opinion.

Of course it's Chrome. I've never gotten above 512 MB of RAM usage while using it. Then again, I only have 5 tabs or less open all the time as opposed to 6.5 million

I run chrome and it uses 100mbs at most. Try closing some tabs.
