R9 290 if you feel you need that bit extra, the gtx 770 is a solid 1080p cruncher.

He's looking to play titanfall and upcoming games at high resolution if possible and i checked around and i saw that the R9290 in my country is 483.50 Euros so that's higher than my price range so if you can find it somewhere cheaper can you link it to me?

a GeFORCE GTX 770 would be the perfect choice ,try for a lightning or a Power Edition ,because those has Overvoltage Ability witch allow much Higher and still more stable Overclocking even when pushing it too far ,the other thing don't go for a reference design cooler no matter what you chose ,Dual fans coolers are way better, allows better overclocking capability at reasonably Low Temps  ;)

4gb across 256 bit, you will almost never use it unless you SLi.

Good card though.

Going for the 4 gb 770 is plain wrong, if your mate really cares about more VRAM for higher resolutions but can't afford the R9 290 then he should go for the R9 280X. If he's set at 1080 then it's either the MSI 770 Twin Frozr or EVGA 770 w/ ACX.

are you listening to him, this has dragged you away from thinking ahead ,when i suggested the 770 i thought about what's coming ,more demanding games or if you  or your friend goes for larger monitor like 1440P or even bigger ,having the 770 with 4GB Frame buffer and the way better cooler as the 290's has proved to run like shit ,wont heart having some extra unused  performance ,in fact ,it'll keep you Ready for next Gen Gaming at it's peak ,
