Zalman Announces Reserator 3 Max Dual Liquid CPU Cooler

ZALMAN today announced the Reserator 3 MAX Dual liquid CPU cooler. Improving upon the Reserator 3 MAX released last year, the Reserator 3 MAX Dual bolsters performance drastically by utilizing a large 240mm Radiator compared to the smaller 120mm radiator size of its smaller brother.

The center mounted inlet and outlet seem like they'd be nice for some packaging constraints. Are those proprietary fans? That'd be terrible.

I like that they are trying to do something new with AIO water cooling, but i think the design is just weird and would limit the places i could even mount it.

I knew someone would say that but no seriously it does look like a wang. Two circles and a straight line in the center. Am I the only person seeing this. Plus it probably performs like a used up wang.

I'm looking forward to the benchmarks of it.. it may actually not be too bad, as it plays the "longer loop"-card.

 

I've seen some fairly odd radiator-shapes in other cases before, so we'll see!

I like the look of it, but it would be better if it wasn't clear. It would be cool if it was matte black or white.

I remember some videos from CES that kind of detailed what this CLC actually does, and it sounded really nice. The way the fans are mounted to the radiator and their fin/airflow style affects the cooling differently than a flat box radiator and pressure optimized fans. I'd like to see some benching and actual specs before saying it looks great, but I've been hyped about this ever since I saw it.

Different = good, and this is very, very unique.

its a strange shape for a radiator, and i dont think it fits into many styles of builds, unless you are a zalman fanboy, of course
