Is it possible to crossfire a R9 270 with a 270x ?

If im correct the only thing different is the core clock speeds ?

Yes it is possible, but the 270x will slow down to a 270 clock speeds.

Yes. The R9 270x will just underclock it self and run at the speed of the r9 270. 

could you overclock the 270 to 270x speeds

Just overclock your 270 to 270x speed. should work well.

Cheers, my R9 270 is overclocked to 1115Mhz on the core and 1500mhz memory, and stable, it's just the 270x is available cheaper these days and I might not get so lucky with another R9 270 OC Wise, I could push this one further as it stays really cool, just don't want to brick it

they share the same GPU (and core count)  :wub:

 

and if someday you need split they to run two machines... you can keep the R9 270X for you... yey   :ph34r:

CPU = A10 6800K (@4.3Ghz) / GPU = HD 8670D (@844mhz/ram@1866mhz) - 2016 ≠ Dual Cores - why learn Linux ? - OLD intel x4 cpu (Q6600) + amd HD 7950 - this is what i think on watts x dollar cost - CPU "bottlenecks" only start to show "at the super high end cards" (like the 390) if you have a 4 cores CPU
