[How To] Fix that pesky Corsair Link Device in Win 8

So i havent been able to use my H100i with Windows 8 ever since i upgraded but ive found a solution for me. I'll list the sites below but please read instructions.

Corsair Link Beta (Download Latest Version): http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125350

  1. Leave device (Mine is H100i) plugged in
  2. Uninstall any Corsair Link drivers/software
  3. Download & Install before mentioned Beta Link Driver
  4. Open and restart computer when prompted
  5. After restart open program again, you *Should* be prompted to update device firmware (If not unplug Link cable, you then should see a dialogue box saying it has detected hardware and needs to restart. Proceed and click "Ok" and restart. When the computer starts back up open Corsair Link and continue on with updating the devices firmware.) You may or not be prompted to restart again, if so restart
  6. After you have updated the devices firmware Beta Link should open in the task bar, click once and select "Show CorsairLink"
  7. Your Link supported device should be showing in Corsair Link like it always should have!!!
