New monitor

Princess Anna

A friend of mine keeps telling me to get this monitor.http://www.amazon.com/VG248QE-24-Inch-Screen-LED-lit-Monitor/dp/B00B2HH7G0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397778860&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+144hz

My question would be is it worth it? Does 144hz really make a difference? And if I decide to get it any suggested dual monitor mounts? Thx in advance for any help since I can't decide.

Edit: So I do play games like bf4 and cs:go with friends and currently have a ips 60hz monitor. I'm just wondering if I should get the 144hz or something else or maybe nothing. You can see my pc specs. on my profile. Money is not a problem for me atm, I am just not sure what monitor to get :(

It's noticeable, but whether it's worth it is your decision.  You'll get smoother motion if your graphics card is powerful enough to drive ~120+ fps.  At that price you have the option of getting a nice IPS monitor which gives you much better colors and the colors won't distort when viewed off-angle.  It'll be 60Hz but that's good enough for most people unless you're playing twitch-reaction shooter games all the time at a high level.  I'd go with the IPS personally.  Something like the P2314H or the U2414H.

1. Depending on what you use it for, 144 Hz may not make a difference. I don't think it would be a big selling point though. If it was my money I would just pick up a 120 Hz Monitor.

2. 1 Ms response times.

If you have the money I would buy it.

Please take my opinions with AT LEAST (1) Kilogram of salt, because I don't know much about monitors.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

144 is 3d bullshit. Some people are into 3d but I would say most arent when it comes to pc gaming. Yes you can tell the difference between 60 and 120 but I never met anyone who can tell the difference between 120 and 144.

Am I able to change the title? Still new here.

Sigh... I am not sure what to do. I just want a really good monitor to enjoy my movies and games more. There are so many on the market so I don't know what to get. :(
